Dorothy Coulter





Dorothy Coulter, age 91 of Lamberton, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton with burial in the Lamberton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the church.

     Dorothy G. Coulter was born May 27, 1920, in Waterbury Township to Herman and Amanda (Lawrenz) Wendt. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. During World War II, Dorothy worked as an inspector at the Conlyn Manufacturing plant in Minneapolis. She was united in marriage to Leonard Coulter on May 3, 1947, and the couple lived on the family farm north of Lamberton until moving into Lamberton in 1984. Dorothy was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, the church circle, and enjoyed gardening and reading.
     Dorothy Coulter died Friday, December 30, 2011, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton at the age of 91 years.
     She is survived by daughters- Carol and husband Monte Schwarz of Seabrook, TX, and Jani and husband Dick Bear of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren- Erin (Kyle) Brinks, David Schwarz, and Monte Schwarz, Jr.; great-grandchildren- Laycie, Caleigh, Kaycie, and Benjamin; sisters- Ruth Kersten of Springfield, Rosella Buddensiek of Mankato, and Helen Fischer of Judson; and brother Lawrence 'Pete' Wendt of Lamberton. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters- Adelia Lamprecht, Elizabeth Anderson, and Arlene Rengstorf; brothers- Arthur, William, and Wilbert Wendt; and 2 siblings in infancy.
