Arlo H. Mattison, 81, of Lamberton, MN died on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Valley View Manor in Lamberton, MN.
Visitation will be at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton, MN on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, MN. Service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, MN on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10:30 AM.
The Clergy will be Pastor Stew Carlson.

E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at Arlo H. Mattison was born on the family farm on April 13, 1930 in Highwater Township in Cottonwood County to Arthur and Harriet Mattison. He attended school district 3 and Lamberton High School. On April 29, 1951, he was united in marriage to Shirley Graff at Highwater Lutheran Church in rural Lamberton. In July 1951 Arlo entered the Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, AK. He was honorably discharged in July of 1953. Arlo and Shirley moved to a farm east of Revere where he continued farming until retirement in 1996. Arlo was baptized and confirmed at Highwater Lutheran Church, a member of Revere Lutheran Church until it's closing where he served on the church council, a current member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and a member of the Lamberton Legion Post 41. Arlo raised strawberries, cucumbers and potatoes along with grain and livestock. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping and visiting with friends around town while on his scooter.
Arlo is survived by his wife Shirley Mattison; children - Alan (Connie) Mattison of Belmond, IA, Ann (Duke) Okins of Sioux Falls, SD, Todd (Wendy) Mattison of Lamberton, Tom (Ronda) Mattison of Eden Prairie; daughter-in-law Loretta (Fran) Gervais of Currie; grandchildren - Chris (Ann) Mattison and their children Dana and Spencer, Coby (Tara) Mattison and their daughter Isabelle, Brandon (Erin) Okins, Brittany (Matthew) Rom, Stephanie and Morgan Mattison; Emily, Sarah, and Lauren Mattison; step-grandchild Jerilyn Knutson; brother Glen (Twila) Mattison of Lamberton; sister Arlette (Eugene) Raveling of Spicer; sister-in-law LeAnne Mattison of Byron; Shirley's family - Robert (Joyce) Graff, Roger (Bonnie) Graff, Janice (Merle) Coulter, Gary(Diane) Graff, Bruce (Elona) Graff, Richard (JoAnne) Graff. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers - Obert, Kenneth, and Robert; a son - Keith; and a sister-in-law - Arliss (Donald) Quiring.
