Zoo renovation in Redwood Falls awarded grant

Those that love Ramsey park will be happy to hear of an early Christmas present!

The Minnesota DNR has awarded the City of Redwood Falls $232,200 from the Parks and Trails Legacy Grant Program for the third phase of the zoo renovation. This project will begin in the summer of 2012 and will include the road renovation, curb and gutter, sidewalk, fencing, and river walk. This past summer, the Friends of the Park received a large donation ($100,000) to complete the rehab of the buffalo/elk pens and it  is likely these two projects will be tied together and completed at the same time.
