LaVonne Irene Polzin

LaVonne was born Feb. 27, 1930 to Martin and Irene (Anderson) Krumwiede. She attended country schools in the Cobden and Springfield area. She moved with her family to Deephaven Park, MN as a teenager and graduated from Deephaven High. In 1950, she married Raymond Polzin in Springfield. They made their home in rural Springfield then moved to Evan, MN where they operated a livestock & grain trucking business. In 1971, they moved to Stanford, MT where they purchased a ranch. They ranched and continued with the trucking business where LaVonne was the bookkeeper. After Raymond's death in 1996, LaVonne moved back to Evan until 2008, when she moved to Sleepy Eye, where she continued to live until her death. Lavonne enjoyed needle work and supplied her family with afghans and embroidered dish towels. She enjoyed watching the many birds at her bird feeders and enjoyed having coffee with her friends in the Evan and Sleepy Eye areas and looked forward to the days spent at the Sleepy Eye Senior Citizens Center playing cards and other activities. She was an active member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Evan.

LaVonne is survived by son, Perry (Mary) Polzin, Stanford, MT; daughter, Linda (Kevin) Wieland , New Ulm, MN and son, Bradley (Janice) Polzin, Stanford, MT. Grandchildren; Staci (Duane) Miner, Billings MT; Ryan (Tammi) Polzin, Stanford, MT; Lana (Tom) Bianchi, New Ulm, MN; Kasey (Tricia) Wieland; Shakopee, MN; Lindsay (Emilio) Medina, New Ulm, MN; AJ (Sonja) Polzin, Windham, MT ; Chesi Polzin and fiancée Michael Jones, Bozeman, MT and Tyler Polzin , Havre, MT. 10 great grandchildren. Brothers-in-law, Albert (Lorraine) Polzin, Springfield, MN and Melvin (Ann) Polzin, Belview, MN; Sister in-law, Laura Borchert, New Ulm, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, parents, step - father Wilbert Walter, brother Darnell Krumwiede, sister-in-law Libbie Krumwiede, brothers -in-law, Walter Polzin and Randall Borchert.
