A one year narcotics investigation is expected to result in 37 arrests mainly in the Redwood Falls area.

On Friday December 2nd the task force along with local and state agents executed four search warrants. Two search warrants were on the Lower Sioux Indian Reservation and as a direct result four suspects were charged with 5th degree possession of methamphetamine and two additional suspects are expected to be charged with 2nd degree possession of methamphetamine. Two additional search warrants were executed in the City of Redwood Falls and one additional suspect was arrested on 5th degree possession of methamphetamine.

On December 12th 2011, the task force along with the Renville County Sheriff’s Department executed two search warrants. The first was in the City of Franklin MN where two suspects were arrested. One was charged with 2nd degree sale of methamphetamine and 5th degree possession of methamphetamine. The other suspect is expected to be charged with 5th degree possession of marijuana. The second search warrant was executed in the City of Morton and the suspect was arrested on 1st degree sale of methamphetamine.

On December 13th, 2011, a round up of 21 suspects was completed in Redwood Falls, Redwood County and the Lower Sioux Indian Reservation. The majority of the cases were related to the sale of methamphetamine. The drug task force is currently looking for an additional five suspects where active arrest warrants have been issued by the court. There are additional persons expected to be arrested in the near future as a result of this investigation.
