GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Patric Young scored a

career-high 25 points, Erving Walker made huge free throws down the

stretch and No. 12 Florida rallied to beat Arizona 78-72 in

overtime. Walker finished with 14 points, including seven in OT.

 


DALLAS (AP)--Mark Buehrle is the latest high-price

free agent to sign with the Miami Marlins. The 32-year-old

left-hander, who went 13-9 with the Chicago White Sox last season,

is being reunited with former White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen,

who is now the Marlins' skipper.

 


NEW YORK (AP) - NBA players have agreed to additional drug

testing, adding offseason screening for performance-enhancing drugs

only. Union executive director Billy Hunter sent a memo, obtained

by The Associated Press, to players detailing these and other

changes of a new labor deal and recommended they ratify the

agreement.

 


SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - A county district attorney says he cannot

bring charges against Bernie Fine because his alleged crimes are

too old to prosecute. But Onondaga County

District Attorney William Fitzpatrick says he finds two men who

accused the former Syracuse assistant basketball coach of sexual

abuse to be credible.

 


STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Former Penn State assistant football

coach Jerry Sandusky was jailed Wednesday as authorities added to

the child sex abuse charges he faces after two new accusers alleged

he molested them. Sandusky now faces criminal accusations from 10

young men and more than 50 charges stemming from alleged assaults

over 15 years on boys in his home, on Penn State property and

elsewhere.
