The public is invited to an open house Tuesday, Dec. 13, to discuss an upcoming construction project on Highway 59 between Highway 14 and Slayton.

The open house is scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Murray County Fairgrounds 4-H Building, 3048 S. Broadway Ave., Slayton, Minn.

Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer questions regarding the detour route and address access concerns during construction.

Work will be divided into two projects and is scheduled to start July 9, 2012, with completion sometime in October 2012.
