MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Tim Tebow led Denver on another late-game

rally yesterday as the Broncos beat the Minnesota Vikings 35-32.

Tebow passed for a season-high 202 yards and two third-quarter

touchdowns. Christian Ponder set the Vikings' single-game rookie

record with 381 yards passing, including a pair of scores to Percy

Harvin.

 


ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Nick Johnson's go-ahead goal with less

than six minutes left in the third period led the Minnesota Wild to

a 5-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks last night. Casey Wellman,

Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Dany Heatley and Kyle Clutterbuck also scored

for the Wild. Minnesota's Josh Harding made 24 saves.

 


MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Brittney Griner had 20 points yesterday to

help No. 1 Baylor defeat Minnesota 89-60 in the Big 12/Big Ten

Challenge. Odyssey Sims added 15 points for the Lady Bears, who

outrebounded the Gophers 58-39. Rachel Banham led Minnesota in

scoring with 19 points.

 


MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A slimmed-down Kevin Love says he's

encouraged by the changes the Minnesota Timberwolves have made.

Love worked out at the team facility yesterday for the first time

since a tentative labor deal was reached. Love says he's lost 25

pounds and is eager to get this season underway.
