Willow Tree Angel sales to benefit Hospice

The Redwood Area Hospital Hospice held their Tree of Lights program on Nov. 18. The Tree of Lights is a visual reminder of the loved ones we hold dear to our hearts. This holiday season remember your loved ones by helping light the Redwood Area Hospital Hospice Tree of Lights. Your donation will help people live their final days with dignity among family and friends.

“Each year the tree lighting program brings special meaning to our community and our staff,” says Kay Peters, Redwood Area Hospital Hospice manager. “Seeing all of the beautiful lights on the tree evokes special memories, stories, laughter and fun amongst the group.”

Redwood Area Hospital Hospice program will also be raising funds through sales of a Willow Tree Angel ornament. This year’s ornament, “Loving Angel” will be available at Connie’s Hallmark and special events through the 2011 Christmas holiday season, while supplies last. Proceeds of the ornament purchase go directly to the hospital’s hospice program.

“The Willow Tree ornaments are a favorite for so many in the community,” Peters said. “Each ornament on our tree provides memories for years to come, and we have many happy memories of the community support we receive through Angel sales.”

Ornaments will also be sold at area holiday events, including Lamberton’s “Taste of the Season” event on November 25th and Sanborn’s “Hometown Christmas” event on December 3rd.

Hospice donations can be made in honor or memory of a loved one as we celebrate and remember those that are most important to us this holiday season.
