School Levy Results



BOLD School Levy Passes: 607 Yes Votes and 104 No Votes.

Cedar Mountain School Levy Passes: 320 Yes and 32 No. The vote was to renew a $240 levy.

Sleepy Eye Public School had both questions fail. 456 yes and 739 no on Question 1. 396 yes and 802 NO on Question 2. Sleepy Eye is one of the few schools in the state that does not have a levy in place. School Superintendent stated last night that they are at bare bones now and only have an option of a 4 day school week left to save money. Question 1 was for a $750 levy and Question 2 was for an additional $250 levy.

Redwood Valley Passed both questions. Question 1 by 88.6% and Question 2 by 74.7%
Question 1: 1422 Yes and 181 No, renews a $500 levy for 10 years
Question 2: 1199 Yes and 402 No, additional $400 levy for 10 years.
Redwood Valley's total levy is slightly below the state average.

GFW School passed to replace a current levy with an $870.

No=512

New Ulm School levy question failed for a new $725 levy:
2,493 No
2,184 Yes

Marshall School passed one, failed one.
Renewal of an existing levy passed-1,634-yes and 715-no.
An additional $150 per pupil levy failed 1,225 NO to 1,121 Yes votes.

Willmar passed a levy that renews just under $500 per pupil levy.
