A grand jury will now be convened to determine any charges against an officer.

Myra Meyer, 82 and son Brian Wichmann, 60 of Mankato both died as a result of injuries sustained in car accident.

The other vehicle was being driven by New Ulm Police Officer-Mathew Rasmussen.

According to the report Rasmussen struck the vehicle while traveling from the opposite direction.

Due to a conflict of interest the case was given to Redwood County Attorney Steve Collins for review. There are reportedly a large number of documents, photos and a video of the accident.
