Marcella Margaret Knott, age 81, of Wabasso, passed away Wednesday,
November 2, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Wabasso. Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 4, 2011
from St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso with burial in the church
cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on
Friday November 4, 2011 from St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral and Cremation
Association of Echo and Wabasso.

Marcella Margaret Knott was born in Red Lake Falls on April 10, 1930
to John and Anna (Zins) Knott. She moved to the Lucan area in 1939 and
attended Wabasso Public School. Marcella worked as a nurses-aid and
did housekeeping. She was a nanny for many people in the area. She
worked for 10 years at Sunwood Nursing Home and 5 years at the Wabasso
Health Care Center. Marcella was baptized in Red Lake Falls at St.
Mary’s. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso
and belonged to the C.C.W. there. Marcella enjoyed baking especially
banana bread and fry cakes. She made baby quilts and pot holders of
which all her nieces and nephews enjoyed as their Christmas gifts. Her
nieces and nephews loved her greatly and proudly called her “Auntie
Cella”.

Marcella passed away on November 2, 2011 at the Golden Living Center
in Wabasso at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 22 days. She is
survived by her siblings; Arnold (Bernie) of Wabasso, David (Maurine)
of Wabasso, Barbara (Marlyn) Ferencik of Bloomington, and Darlene
(Roland) Bierl of Wanda, sisters-in-law; Marcia of Lucan, Bernadette
of Blaine. Also surviving are her 29 nieces and nephews and many great
and great–great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her
parents; John and Anna, brothers; John Jr., Edward and Dale. Blessed
be her memory.
