MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Boston Globe writer whose syndicated "Ask

Beth" column enabled teenagers and parents to get frank advice on

how to deal with sexuality in the 1960s and 1970s has died.

Elizabeth Winship was 90. Her son told the Associated Press

yesterday that she died of natural causes Sunday at an

assisted-living facility in Roseville, Minnesota. Memorial services

were conducted in Roseville on Thursday.

 


ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A St. Paul man is charged with

second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing a cross-dresser to

death with a pair of scissors. Forty-four-year-old Anthony Haukos

is accused of killing 59-year-old Thomas Stein Thursday night.

Haukos lived in a group home for the mentally ill across the street

from Stein. Haukos is due in court Monday.

 


GAYLORD, Minn. (AP) - A jury has convicted the former pastor of

a southern Minnesota church of having sexual contact with a

16-year-old foreign exchange student. Jurors deliberated about four

hours before finding 52-year-old David Radtke guilty yesterday.

Radtke testified in his own defense Thursday that he

inappropriately touched the girl but both had been fully clothed

and the contact was brief.

 

 


ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A Maplewood man is charged with torching

a St. Paul church while his ex-girlfriend was inside.

Nineteen-year-old Tou Chai Lee was charged yesterday. He's accused

of setting fire to the Faith Alliance Church where his

ex-girlfriend was attending a youth group meeting last November.
