MN Spors Headlines for Friday, Oct. 28th

MN Sports Headlines for Friday, Oct. 28th:

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Anaheim Ducks snapped a three-game

winless streak yesterday with a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild.

Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf and Bobby Ryan all scored for the Ducks.

Jared Spurgeon and Matt Cullen had the Wild's goals.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings receiving corps

is helping rookie Christian Ponder get up to speed as quickly as

possible. Ponder made his first career start last weekend against

Green Bay. He says he's developed a good rapport with his receivers

and he only expects that to improve.

UNDATED (AP) - Minnesota Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley is

countersuing an agent alleging he received improper benefits during

his time at Kansas State. Beasley says agent Joel Bell gave his

mother living expenses and paid for her move to Manhattan, Kan.,

when he went to school there. The allegations would likely violate

NCAA rules.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minnesota father and son who each won

Olympic gold medals want the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto to

return their jerseys. Bill Christian won gold in 1960, and his son,

Dave, was part of the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" team. Bill Christian

tells WCCO-TV he believed he was only loaning the jerseys, but the

Hall contends they were donated legally.
