MN Sports Headlines for Thursday, Oct. 27th:


EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian

Robison has been fined $20,000 by the NFL for kicking Green Bay

lineman T.J. Lang in last Sunday's game. Robison kicked Lang in the

groin during a field goal attempt. He has apologized to Lang, the

league and the Vikings.

 


EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - The Vikings will likely be without

guard Anthony Herrera for this Sunday's game at Carolina. Coach

Leslie Frazier says Herrera will probably be listed as doubtful on

the injury report after damaging his surgically repaired left knee.

Meanwhile, center John Sullivan has been cleared to return from a

concussion.

 


MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Suspended Vikings cornerback Chris Cook has

appeared in court on charges he allegedly tried to choke his

girlfriend over the weekend. Cook didn't enter a plea at

yesterday's appearance in Hennepin County court. The judge ordered

that Cook be on supervised release if he's allowed to leave the

state for work.

 


ST. LOUIS (AP) - Game 6 of the World Series was postponed last

night because of a rainy forecast. Major League Baseball announced

the delay about four-and-a-half hours before the St. Louis

Cardinals were set to take on the Texas Rangers. The game has been

rescheduled for tonight.
