Tracy school reacts to threat



The Tracy Police Department was called to the Tracy Public school due to bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.
 
A note was given to school Superintendent Loy Woelber by a student that had found it in a bathroom near the district offices.
 
The note claimed that a bomb would go off in the school with in the next 72 hours.
 
Tracy police did a search of the school and nothing suspicious was found.
 
The school has implemented some new rules as a result of the threat. For the next few days students will have their bags checked as they enter the building, there will be no open campus for students.
 
The incident happened about 11 AM on Wednesday. A student assembly took place once the all clear was given and students were told by school officials that it’s a threat against all students and the investigation will continue.
