Jury selected in case against former pastor



It took all day but a jury has been selected in the case against a former pastor in Gibbon.

52 year old, David Radtke and the alleged victim were in the Sibley County Courtroom throughout the day as questions were asked of a pool of 51 potential jurors. The jury selection includes 9 women and 5 men.

Radtke, the former pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gibbon is being charged with 3rd degree Criminal Sexual conduct, interception of electronic communications and harassment/ stalking.

David Radtke is accused of having inappropriate contact with a female juvenile that was living in his home.

Several jurors were dismissed throughout the day for various reasons—1 for hugging the alleged victim in the courtroom. Jurors were questioned about seeing the incident and after confirming that the jury was not compromised the selection continued.

Opening arguments will start Wednesday morning at 9.
