Holiday light rebate in Redwood Falls

This holiday season, Redwood Falls Public Utilities is once again offering their electricity customers rebates up to $12 for each string or decoration of energy-efficient LED holiday lighting they purchase through the end of the year. Redwood Falls Public Utilities is promoting LED lighting because it uses up to 95% less electricity than regular holiday lighting and lasts for many years. A typical household can save up to $21 per month during the holiday season.
While these financial savings are a big draw for consumers, LED Holiday Lights offer environmental benefits as well. “We want to do our part to reduce our country’s greenhouse gas emissions and make our community a little greener,” said Redwood Falls Public Utilities Superintendent Chuck Heins. “We’re proud to spread the word about the difference that individuals in our community can make by taking energy-saving steps at home and in the workplace.”
