MN Sports Headlines for Friday, Oct. 21st:

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - Matt Cullen scored the shootout winner

last night in the Minnesota Wild's 2-1 comeback win over the

Edmonton Oilers. Minnesota's Dany Heatley tied the game with two

seconds left in regulation. Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom and his

Edmonton counterpart Nikolai Khabibulin each finished with 30

saves.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - After missed field goals in

consecutive games, Minnesota Vikings kicker Ryan Longwell is making

note of what went wrong. The 15-year veteran says he doesn't brush

off the misses, but doesn't want to over-analyze them either.

Longwell led the league in field goal percentage last season.

NEW YORK (AP) - Tulsa has the best chance of getting the top

pick in next month's WNBA draft lottery. The Shock finished with a

league-worst 3-31 record last season. Defending champion Minnesota

has the second-best chance because it owns Washington's pick

because of a trade in April.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Texas scored two runs in the ninth inning to

defeat the St. Louis Cardinals 2-1 last night in Game 2 of the

World Series. Josh Hamilton and Michael Young hit sacrifice flies

to give the Rangers the victory. The series now heads to Texas for

Game 3 tomorrow night.
