Next year's Governors Pheasant opener is coming to Marshall. The announcment was made by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton during a a banquet on Saturday night in Montevideo. The Governor's first pheasant opener was held in the Montevideo area on Saturday. Dayton, House Speaker Kurt Zellers, Seventh District Congressman Collin Peterson, and many other officials took part in the event in Montevideo. While Dayton didn't get a bird, the party he was in shot around 30, including Zellers who got one. Again next year's event will be in the Marshall area.
