Renville County, MN: On Saturday, October 15, 2011, at approximately 1653 hours, the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a body being found in a corn field. The body was discovered by a farmer who had been harvesting the corn. The field where the body was found is located about 10 miles northeast of Hector, MN in Brookfield Township.
The body appeared to be that of an adult male and was taken to Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Ramsey, MN for autopsy. The decedent has not yet been positively identified.
Personnel from the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Meeker County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation into the circumstances of the death.
