Mrs. Amanda Meyer, Springfield High school life science teacher, has been selected as a FOX 9 Super Scientist Award Winner. Nine Super Scientist winners were selected.
She will receive:
- $900 for her classroom use
- Recognition on FOX 9 and My 29: FOX 9 will be featuring all nine of Super Scientist winners in a thirty minute special that will be aired throughout the fall and winter. The first two broadcasts of the FOX 9 Science Special are scheduled for Saturday, October 8th from 8:30-9 am on FOX 9 KMSP and Sunday, October 9th from 9-9:30 am on My 29 WFTC.
She will be asked to be a:
- Featured Presenter at FOX 9’s Girls & Science: Each Super Scientist winner will have 30 minutes to demonstrate one of their favorite experiments or activities at FOX 9’s Girls & Science at the Science Museum of Minnesota between 10 am and 4 pm on Saturday, October 15th. FOX 9’s Girls and Science provides area kids and their families the opportunity to take part in fun, hands-on experiments while learning from leading science and tech experts.
