Students mourn teacher, suspects to appear in court
Students are mourning a popular teacher who was shot and killed in an apparent homicide in rural Paynesville.
43-year-old Timothy Larson was a special education teacher for three years at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West.
Superintendent Jim Behle calls Larson "a teacher that you would want your child to have."
81-year-old Delbert Huber and his son, 43-year-old Timothy Huber of rural Paynesville will be arraigned on murder charges in Kandiyohi County District Court today. The elder Huber will be charged with murder and his son will be charged with aiding and abetting in connection with the shooting death of 43-year-old Timothy Larson of Albertville Saturday southeast of Belgrade. Larson was a special education teacher in the St. Michael-Albertville School District. Kandiyohi County Sheriff Dan Hartog says Huber is accused of shooting Larson on property owned by Larson's father. Hartog says at this time he can't disclose the reason behind the shooting. Last night Kandiyohi County Attorney Jenna Fischer says they were just finishing up the complaint against the Hubers. At their arraignment the issue of bail, representation and future court dates will be addressed.
