On Wednesday, September 28th 2011, the Olivia Police Department, along with the Renville County Sheriff’s Department, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the BLR Drug Task Force arrested two suspects in Olivia MN for selling methampethamine.
Avaron Sambrano Elizondo, DOB 9-24-1977, 504 Litchfield Ave. SE # 1, Willmar MN is currently charged with 1st degree controlled substance sale, Minnesota State Statute 152.021. The complaint states that on September 28th in the City of Olivia, Elizondo sold 23 grams of methampethamine to a BLR Task Force Agent. On October 3rd, 2011, Elizondo made his first court appearance in Renville County District Court. Due to a prior drug conviction Elizondo had bail set at $100,000 unconditional or $60,000 conditional.
Also arrested on September 28th was Cassandra Jo DeLeon, DOB: 6-1-1991, 709 Lakeland Drive SE, Willmar MN. DeLeon is also charged with 1st Degree Controlled Substance Sale. According to the criminal complaint DeLeon was the driver of the vehicle in which co-defendant Elizondo was the passenger. On October 3rd, DeLeon made a court appearance in Renville County District Court and bail was set at $ 50,000 unconditional and $5,000 conditional.
A 1st Degree Controlled Substance Conviction Sale may carry a 30 year prison sentence and or a $1,000 000 fine.
