PHILADELPHIA (AP) - St. Louis overcame a 4-0 deficit to beat

Philadelphia 5-4 and level their best-of-five NL division series at

a game apiece. Albert Pujols' go-ahead single in the

seventh inning made a loser out of Cliff Lee.

 


DETROIT (AP) - The Tigers and Yankees will be playing their

third game in as many days this evening when they take the field in

Detroit for Game 3 of their American League division series. The

Tigers beat the Bombers 5-3 in New York on Sunday to even the

best-of-five series at a game apiece.

 


HOUSTON (AP) - Two stars were among the players injured during

Houston's 17-10 win over visiting Pittsburgh. Texans All-Pro wide

receiver Andre Johnson left the game with a hamstring injury, and

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was

wearing a walking boot on his injured left foot in the locker room

following the game.

 


UNDATED (AP) - There were two first-time winners in men's golf

on Sunday. Kevin Na picked up win No. 1 on the PGA Tour with

a two-stroke win in Las Vegas. And Kenny Perry won his first

Champions Tour title with a one-shot victory at the SAS

Championship in North Carolina.

 


UNDATED (AP) - On the race tracks Sunday, Kurt Busch has himself

in contention for another Cup title after taking the checkered flag

at the Sprint Cup race in Dover. And defending series champion

Dario Franchitti leapfrogged Will Power

back to the top of the IndyCar standings with a win at Kentucky

Speedway.
