MN Sports Headlines for Thursday, Sept. 29th:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Trevor Plouffe's walkoff single gave the

Minnesota Twins a 1-0 win over the Kansas City Royals yesterday.

the first time since July 2010. Royals starter Bruce Chen pitched

eight shutout innings before KC handed the ball over to reliever

Blake Wood.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - A sore calf muscle kept Minnesota

Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson out of practice

yesterday. Coach Leslie Frazier says the move was precautionary and

he expects Peterson to be fine by today. Also absent from practice

was middle linebacker E.J. Henderson.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota coach Jerry Kill has returned to

practice, three days after checking into the Mayo Clinic to seek

treatment for his seizures. Kill says he plans to be on the

sideline Saturday as the Golden Gophers take on No. 19 Michigan. He

says he's suffered multiple seizures in the last few weeks, but

insists the condition isn't life-threatening.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - New Minnesota Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman

says communication with executive David Kahn will be paramount. The

team introduced Adelman as their coach yesterday, two weeks after

coming to an agreement with him. Kahn acknowledged yesterday that
