On September 22, at approximately 7:30 a.m. the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle rollover 1 ½ miles south of Prairies Edge Casino on 560th St. Upon arrival Deputies found 2 victims later identified as Nina Burningground from Flandreau, SD, and Julia Lee from Fargo, ND. Julia was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. Granite Falls Ambulance assisted on scene and transported both victims to the Granite Falls Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Julia was later transported by Ambulance to Sioux Falls. The extent of the injuries is unknown. Alcohol was detected. The accident is currently under investigation by the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office.
