Renville County, MN: The Renville County Sheriff’s Office has issued an updated Crime Alert regarding the recent string of stolen vehicles in and around Renville County. Several law enforcement agencies in and around Renville County continue to search for the suspect in the cases, 37-year-old Matthew James Wrobleski. A regional task force has been assembled, which includes investigators from the Renville, McLeod, Meeker and Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Offices, Olivia and Buffalo Lake Police Departments and Hutchinson Police Services.
Over the past week, several vehicles have been stolen and then later recovered. Currently, authorities are looking for a stolen red 2009 Ford extended-cab/4-door pick-up, which had Minnesota license plates “062-AMV” on it. Stolen at the same time was a 30-foot, 5th wheel camper trailer. The trailer is described as being white with the word “Cougar” displayed in tan lettering on it. That trailer had Minnesota license plate “RU25103” on it. Both the pick-up and the camper were stolen from a rural residence located south of Cosmos, MN in Renville County. It is unknown whether the camper is still hooked to the pick-up or whether the above license plates are still on the vehicles.
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in discovering the whereabouts of these vehicles and the suspect. Wrobleski may now be clean-shaven and may also be in possession of a stolen, green colored four-wheeler. If either is located, please contact your local Sheriff’s Office immediately. Renville County Sheriff Scott Hable reminds all area residents to continue to remove keys from their vehicles, lock their homes and buildings, and immediately report any suspicious or unusual activity. Callers can reach their Sheriff’s Office either by calling 911, or by dialing their respective administrative phone numbers.
