On Sunday, Septemberf 11th, shortly after 1pm, the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff Dispatch Center received a call of a House fire at 2475 Canku Paha (565th St). On arrival of Upper Sioux Police the house was found to be fully engulfed. All occupants of the house were safely out of the house. The Granite Falls Fire Department arrived on scene and began fighting the fire.
Granite Falls Fire department was assisted by the Granite Falls Ambulance and Echo Fire Department. Fire crews cleared the scene at 1700 hours. The house was a total loss. The home was not covered by insurance and the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
