Need is up and donations are and supplies are down.
The Redwood Area Food Shelf is low on inventory right now and in need of help.
With the population using their services being up-the Redwood Falls food shelf is asking for the publics help.
Financial donations go the furthest at the food shelf because for every dollar that is donated they can buy about $9 worth of food through special government supported programs and distributor deals.
Donations can be brought directly to the Redwood Area Food Shelf at 231 East 2nd Street in Redwood Falls.
Suggested items for those that would rather donate food items include:
instant potatoes, canned ham, tuna or chicken, rice, juices, peanut butter, canned stew, chili and spaghetti and hearty soups, dried peas and beans, complete baking mixes like pancakes and muffins, canned fruits and vegetables.
