A 2005 Harley Davidson, driven by Linus Hoffmann, 71 of Sleepy Eye and a 1989 Chev pick up, driven by John Hauser, 18 of rural Sleepy Eye collided near the intersection of County Roads 27 & 10, east of Sleepy Eye.

Hoffmann was leaving a residence at the intersection, driving through the road ditch. He attempted to enter Co Rd 27 from the road ditch when it struck the pick up driven by Hauser. Hauser was eastbound on 27 when the crash occurred. Hauser attempted, but was unable, to avoid the motorcycle. The accident happened at 2:11 PM on Saturday.

Mr. Hoffmann was transported by air ambulance to North Memorial Hospital for head injuries. (no helmet) John Hauser and passenger Dan Hauser were taken to the Sleepy Eye Hospital by private vehicle to be checked for possible injuries. Released.
