MN Sports Headlines for Thursday, Aug. 25th:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Baltimore Orioles scored five runs in the

fifth on their way to a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Twins last

night. Mark Reynolds homered and Nolan Reimold tripled in a run in

the frame. Justin Morneau's RBI-double in the third plated the

Twins' lone run.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Twins All-Star Michael Cuddyer left

yesterday's game early with a wrist injury. Cuddyer was hit by a

pitch in the bottom of the first inning by Baltimore's Jeremy

Guthrie. X-rays were negative and he's expected to undergo more

tests today.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota Vikings guard Anthony

Herrera will start Saturday's preseason game against Dallas. It's

the first time Herrera will play in a game since tearing his ACL

last November. Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe is unlikely to play

against the Cowboys.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A group of retired players has decided to

dismiss their lawsuit against the NFL. Hall of Famer Carl Eller and

others had accused the league and the players' union of negotiating

a collective bargaining agreement without them. Earlier this month,

a judge told the retirees they would have a tough time making their

case.
