MANKATO, Minn. (AP) - Adrian Peterson has returned to Minnesota
Vikings training camp after taking three days off for the birth of
his son.
He joined his teammates for a morning walk through Friday and
said he is not concerned about his contract status heading into the
final year of his rookie deal.
Some were wondering if Peterson might hold out until he got a
long-term extension with new guaranteed money. But Peterson says he
is comfortable with his situation and the thought of holding out
never crossed his mind.
Peterson is due to make more than $10 million in base salary
this season.
Coach Leslie Frazier has said locking up Peterson for the long
term is one of the team's top priorities.
