The city of Redwood Falls approved the hiring of a new Children's Librarian/Assistant Library director at Tuesday nights meeting.

The city received about 50 applications and interviewed 6 candidates.

The position was offered to Jill Deinken at a starting salary of $33,180.16 per year.

Deinken has an education background and has been a youth activity coordinator.
