The city of Hector has been selected to receive a $75,000 loan and a $34,000 grant from USDA Rural Development to purchase grass fire-fighting and jaws of life extraction equipment.   

These awards are crucial to our smaller communities that provide emergency services according to Congressman, Collin Peterson.

The new equipment gives local emergency responders another tool as they work to protect area residents and property.
