On Wednesday, August 3, U.S. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) will attend FarmFest 2011 at Gilfillan Estate near Redwood Falls.
Sen. Franken will discuss his efforts on behalf of Minnesota’s agriculture community in informal remarks from the main stage at about 1:10 p.m.
U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will visit the 30th annual Farmfest event on Thursday morning.
A member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, Klobuchar said she looks forward to meeting and talking with farmers from across the state. She plans to speak briefly in the forum tent at 10:15 a.m.
Now in its 30th year, Farmfest is the largest outdoor agricultural event in Minnesota, attracting more than 35,000 attendees and 625 exhibitors.
It is held at the Gilfillan Estate in Redwood County.
