A 17-year-old rural Fairfax male was arrested Saturday night after a 21-year-old Fairfax man suffered multiple, non-life-threatening stab wounds earlier that evening in downtown Fairfax.

Police arrested the teenager who is expected to face second degree assault charges in Renville County District Court.

The victim was treated on the corner of 2nd Ave and 1st Street S.E. by Fairfax Ambulance. He was taken to the Redwood Area Hospital by a family member, police said.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Fairfax Police.
