Dean Patrick Wenisch, 59, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home. Service will be held at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 1pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye with military rites by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard. Dean Patrick Wenisch was born on May 21, 1952 in Springfield, MN the son of Leo & Irene (Willms) Wenisch. He grew up and graduated from high school in Springfield, MN. After school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served on Presidential Security at the Presidential Retreat at Camp David, MD. After his honorable discharge he attended Macalester college and Mankato State before purchasing a bar in Tyler, MN. He later built the City Limits Bar in Sleepy Eye which he operated for many years. Dean also sold real estate and did home appraisals in the Sleepy Eye area. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting until later years when he suffered from heart ailments.

Survivors include his mother, Irene Wenisch of Springfield, brothers, Bob

(Jessie) Wenisch of St. James, Doug (Sue) Wenisch of Springfield, Gary Wenisch of Minneapolis and Dave (Dawn) Wenisch of Ham Lake, MN. He is also survived by many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his father, Leo and his grandparents.
