Diane Marie (Pelzel) Helget, 59, of rural Comfrey, MN died on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her ome in rural Comfrey, MN.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday July 15, 2011 from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 10:30 AM.

The Clergy will be Father Mark Steffl.

Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Diane Marie Helget was born on January 9, 1952 in Sleepy Eye, MN, the daughter of Melvin and Marcella (Reiner) Pelzel. She attended and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in Sleepy Eye. She was united in marriage to Richard Helget on October 15, 1971 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, MN. Diane has worked at various places around Sleepy Eye, such as AUI, Divine Providence Community Home, and Schutz Family Foods. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Family was very important to Diane; she always put the needs of her family ahead of her own. Diane always enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed painting wildlife pictures, crafts, sewing, fishing with her father and brothers; shopping, scrap booking, taking and editing pictures and being a mother.

Diane died on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her home in rural Comfrey at the age of 59 years.

She is survived by her husband - Richard of Comfrey; children - Marcy (Shawn) Runing of North Mankato, Neil (Stacy) Helget of Gibbon, Stacy Helget of Sleepy Eye, Keith "Beaner" Helget of Comfrey, and Russell Helget of Sleepy Eye; 11 grandchildren; her father - Melvin Pelzel of Sleepy Eye; brothers - Wayne (Patty) Pelzel of Sleepy Eye, Tom (Lisa) Pelzel of Sleepy Eye, and Steve (Lynnae) Pelzel of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her mother - Marcella Pelzel.
