Jack A. Meyer Sr., age 58, of Olivia, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 2:00 p.m.
at the Hughes-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hector.
Interment in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are with the Hughes-Hantge Funeral Chapel of Hector.

     Jacky Allan Meyer was born March 2, 1953 in Fairmont, Minnesota, the son of Donald Eugene and Helen Lorraine (Meyer) Meyer.  He was baptized and confirmed at the Cross of Calvary Lutheran Church in Olivia.  Jack served in the Army National Guard for 22 years.  From 1974 to 2008, he was a heavy equipment operator for Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative.  Jack liked to shoot pool and darts, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
 
     Jack is survived by his Children: Jacky Meyer Jr. and his fiancé Jennifer Bauer of Olivia, Jeremy Meyer and his wife Erin of Danube, and Sara Meyer of Wabasso; Grandchildren: 
Ashley Braun,  Angelina Braun, Somer Prechel, Zach Meyer, and  Sonora Bauer; Brothers: William (Cheryl) Meyer of Hartford  City, Indiana, Tom Meyer of Hartford City, Indiana,
Joey Meyer of Willmar, Minnesota, and Marty Meyer of Phoenix, Arizona; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
 
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny Meyer, sister Jody Meyer, and by his grandparents.
