Agnes Koll, age 86 of Springfield, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Springfield Medical Center Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 6, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Springfield with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, June 5, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

There will be a Parish Prayer Service Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Agnes Marie Koll was born February 7, 1925, on the family farm in Bashaw Township, Brown County the daughter of August and Anna (Platz) Reiner. She was united in marriage to Ray Koll on November 15, 1943, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan. The couple lived in Morgan until moving to the farm in Bashaw Township where they farmed from 1948 to 1978. Agnes worked with Ray at the Augustin Butcher Shop for 17 years. They moved to Springfield in 1980. Agnes was a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey and a current member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. She was a 50 year member of Catholic Aid Association, a member of St. Anne's CCW, and St. John Lutheran Home Auxiliary. Agnes worked at the church thrift store for many years and enjoyed doing needlework and crocheting. She enjoyed playing cards and took great pride in her yard and garden.

Agnes Koll died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Springfield Medical Center Hospital at the age of 86 years.

She is survived by children- Pat and husband John Ryan of Springfield, and Ken and wife Shari Koll of Springfield; grandchildren- Shawn (Faith) Ryan of Springfield, Kerry (Mike) Klemm of Minnetonka, Tom (Kori) Ryan of Brooten, Angie (Jason) Krohn of Faribault, and Katie Koll of Lakeville; great-grandchildren- Nicole, Andy, Ashley and Cassie Ryan, Shantelle and Nate Krueger, Ryan, Matthew and Kiera Klemm, and Taylor and Regan Krohn; great-great-grandchildren- Ashton and Bentley; brothers-in-law- Isidore Kuelbs, Jerome Koll, and LeRoy Koll; sisters-in-law- Florence Koll, Hazel Koll, Dorothy Kalkhoff, Delores Rothmeier, and Mary Lou Mathiowetz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents- August and Anna Reiner; husband Ray in 2002; sisters- Loretta Mathiowetz, Frances Mathiowetz, and Irene Kuelbs; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
