Serious farm accident in rural Canby



 On Saturday, October 22, 2011 at around 1829 hrs the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office received a report of a farm accident involving a grain trailer in rural Canby, MN. When the Yellow Medicine County Deputy arrived he assisted two individuals in administering CPR to the victim, 16 year old Alexander Brouwer of rural Canby. According to the witnesses the victim had fallen into a grain trailer and was surrounded by corn. The victim was then transported to the Sanford Canby Hospital by the Sanford Canby Ambulance. He was then airlifted to Sioux Falls with an unknown condition. Also assisting was the Canby Fire Department.



No further information is available at this time. The incident is still under investigation.
