The New Ulm City Council approved several resolutions last Tuesday that allows for progress in the building of a Menards store in New Ulm.

 Menard, Inc. officials said the company had put together a sufficient budget for building a New Ulm store. He said their projected timeline would be to begin building in the spring. Because it could take a year to complete construction, they expect the store to open in spring of 2013.

The site for the store is located west of U.S. Highway 14 near Wal-Mart. The subdivision has been in development since 2007.
