Last Friday an election took place for the Lower Sioux tribal council.
There were 10 candidates for 2 positions.
Candidates included: Gary Prescott, Iola Hernandez, Linda Whitaker, Denny Prescott, Lori Nelson, Dave Lucio, Sandee Geshick, Marilyn Hisday, Stacie Beran and Earl Pendelton.
Re-elected was: Denny Prescott
Earl Pendleton was elected and will be replacing Iola Hernandez on the council.
