Lisa Marie Bratsch was born on April 20, 1988 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota to Jeffrey D. and Vicky (Pedersen) Bratsch of rural Renville. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Renville. She graduated from RCW in 2006. She graduated from MSU-Moorhead in 2009 with a BSN in Nursing. She went to Nicaragua on a Medico Mission trip. She was vice president of her college Nursing Association. Lisa last worked at Tri-Valley Migrant School in Danube.

She was active in 4-H, FFA, and church activities. Dance was an important part of her life since first grade. She participated in the high school dance team state competition and the college nationals in Florida. She was an avid quilter, reader, gardener, and baker of heritage foods.

She was diagnosed with brain cancer August 6, 2009. She fought a valiant battle, first at St. Cloud Hospital with 3 surgeries, treatment at Mayo Clinic, and then extended her life through alternative methods. She truly continued to "live life to the fullest" going on several trips with her family, doing physical therapy at Olivia and Marshall, and doing things for others including making mats from tee-shirts for children in Haiti, couponing, and working on quilts.

Lisa was preceded in death by grandfathers, Robert E. Pedersen and Lowell D. Bratsch, infant sister, Amy Lynn and uncle, Jimmy Pedersen.

Survivors include her parents, Jeff and Vicky Bratsch of Renville; her two brothers, Jason (Christie) Bratsch of Sacred Heart, and Kevin Bratsch of Renville; her sister, Molly Bratsch of Alexandria (fiancé Ryan Williams); nephews and niece, Colton, Mackton, Nolan, and Abigail Bratsch; and grandmothers, Marvelyn Bratsch of Renville and Drusilla Pedersen of Marshall; as well as many cousins and extended family and friends who will deeply miss her.
