Lillian Lensing





Lillian Lensing, age 93, of Wabasso, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Wabasso. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso with burial in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Cemetery in Lucan. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. with combined Parish Prayer Service and Rosary at 6:30 p.m. all from St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral and Cremation Association of Echo and Wabasso.

Lillian Mae Lensing was born on May 1, 1918 in New Avon Township, Redwood County, Minnesota to Fred and Mary (Bill) Hauptli. She lived in the Wabasso area until she married Hubert Gores and they moved to Lucan. Hubert passed away on January 28, 1959. Lillian later married Walter Lensing and they made their home in Wabasso. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and belonged to the Christian Mother’s group. Lillian enjoyed the lake and campfires, quilting, crossword puzzles, word find puzzles, reading and spending time with family. She especially loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren "the little ones".

Lillian Lensing passed away on December 17, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Wabasso attaining the age of 93 years, 7 months and 16 days. She is survived by her children; Irene (Kenneth) Meyer of Bloomington, Raymond (Marilyn) Gores of Bloomington, Phyllis (Ralph) Blum of Hutchinson, Carolyn (Norman) Atkins of Bloomington, James (Sandra) Gores of Bloomington, Gene (Pat) Gores of Vesta, Dean (Jackie) Gores of Hutchinson, Joseph (Susie) Gores of Montgomery,

Marie (Gary) Lensing of Wabasso, stepchildren; James (Loretta) Lensing of Marshall, Patricia Gulleckson of Blaine, Gary (Marie) Lensing of Wabasso, Kathy (Ed) Riley of Kingman, AZ, Bill (Phyllis) Lensing of Arlington, 26 grandchildren, and 47 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Hubert Gores and Walter Lensing, stepdaughter; Mary Kay Lensing, brothers; John, Elmer, Albert, Fredie, Henry, Leonard and Ervin Hauptli, sister; Leona Barnes and great grandson Zachary Gores.
