June Hegwood, age 89 of Revere, died Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Sanford Tracy Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 30, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Christ in Lamberton with burial at the Lamberton Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, September 29, 2011, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

June Hegwood was born June 27, 1922, in Walnut Grove, MN the daughter of Venus and Hannah (Rock) Keith. She was united in marriage to Donald Hegwood on April 11, 1941, in Lamberton, MN. June followed Don around the U.S. before Don was shipped to Germany during World War II. She returned to the area with her parents until Don came back home. The couple lived in Lamberton where they ran a gas station then moved to Cloquet. They returned to Lamberton and then to Revere where they owned and operated the Pine Bar for 25 years. June enjoyed playing drums in their band "Pine Bar Rhythmaires". After selling the bar they enjoyed winters in Coachella, CA. After Don's death, June lived in Lamberton, Revere, Walnut Grove, then back to Revere. She enjoyed country music, dancing, and playing cards with friends. June loved her many dogs through the years. She will be sorely missed by friends and family.

She is survived by children- Shirley (Dean) Donner Lindquist of New Ulm, and Rocky Hegwood of Revere; grandchildren- Brad (Missy) Donner, Vance (Julie) Donner, Michael Donner, Robert Lindquist and Natalie Thurston, and April (Hegwood) Westerman and special friend Josh Broekhuizen; brother Frank Keith; and sisters- Gertrude Perry and Pearl Irwin. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; 1 brother; 2 sisters; a grandson; and a son-in-law.
