Janice Lang





Janice Marie (Lausen) Lang, age 65, of Park Rapids, formerly of Renville died Monday, February 13, 2012, with family at her side after a short battle with cancer. Funeral services are Friday, February 17, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Renville, Minnesota.  The Rev. Tom Evenson will officiate.   Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville. Visitation continues Friday one hour prior to the service at the church in Renville. Burial will be in Park Rapids on Saturday.
Much loved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Jan was born July 29, 1946, in Sacred Heart, MN to Warren and Gena (Tasa) Lausen. She grew up in Sacred Heart and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Jan Married Robert (Bob) Lang on August 28, 1965, and later moved to their home east of Renville. Jan started work at American State Bank as one of the original employees. She retired in July 2009 after 37 years. That year, Jan and Bob officially moved to their vacation home on the Fish Hook River in Park Rapids. She enjoyed working in the yard, fishing and spending time up north.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents Warren and Gena Lausen. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert; daughter Rochelle (Larry) Linde, son David (Debbie) Lang, her grandchildren: Gena (Chad) Amsden, Bowe (Alice) Linde, Jordan Lang and Payton Lang; her great grandchildren: Taylor, Tyler, and Tanner Amsden, Xzander Taylor.  She is also survived by siblings: Barb (Denny) Rykken, Carol (Bob) VanDenEinde, Richard (Lynette) Lausen, Wanda (Doug) Josephson, Julie (Kink) Hoff and Lori (Jesse) Martinez. She will be missed by countless relatives and friends.
