Gwen Cullen, age 94 of Springfield, formerly of Comfrey and Windom, died Sunday, October 2, 2011, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 7, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Home Chapel in Springfield with burial at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Comfrey.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at St. John Lutheran Home Chapel.

Gwen Cullen was born November 22, 1916, in rural Comfrey to John and Phyliss (Fredin) King. She attended school and graduated from Comfrey High School. She and a friend owned and operated the grocery store in Comfrey for many years. Gwen married Don Cullen in 1948 and they farmed all their lives until retiring to Windom. They enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and traveling. Gwen was a very good cook and loved entertaining and loved people.
Gwen Cullen died Sunday, October 2, 2011, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 94 years.
She is survived by nieces- Patty (Tim) Love, Deb Mueller, Carol (Gary) Larson, and Barb Ohneck; nephews- Calvin, Mark and John Mueller, and Mervin King; sisters-in-law- Edith King and Marilyn King; and special friends- Doreen and Emily Christensen, Evelyn Saffert, and Kathy Hillesheim. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don; brothers- Marvin, Ivan, Lormer, and Clayton King; and sister Audrey Mueller.
