Geraldine DonnaMae Kadelbach was born February 8, 1925 at St. Paul, MN to George and Elma (Krupke) Wait.  The family moved to Flint, MI and later to Grove City where she attended school at District 27 Union Grove Township.  Geraldine was united in marriage to Herb Kadelbach on February 18, 1944 and they were blessed with four children.  Herb always said, “Gerry was the best cook in Renville County”.  She enjoyed quilting, baking cookies at Christmas and shopping with her daughters and granddaughters.  Her family fondly remembers that she was a perfectionist in everyday life whether it was cooking or dressing nicely.  Gerry had a passion for cardinals and collected many cardinal memorabilia.  She always had a desire to entertain whether for family gatherings or friends coming over to the house for “hen parties” and made sure it was always meticulously decorated.  Gerry and Herb loved their coffee times together whether it was at the Straw Hat Grill or afternoons at the Buffalo Lake Health Care Center.  Gerry got to celebrate her last birthday with her children by her side and also with Herb in heaven.

Gerry is survived by her four children: Lloyd (and Sue) Kadelbach of Buffalo Lake, Douglas (and Red) Kadelbach of Hector, Marilyn (and Curt) Henschke of Buffalo Lake, and Deanna Hagert (and Steve Sickmann) of Hutchinson; her 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and one nephew Larry (and Gloria) Wait along with many other nieces and nephews. Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herb Kadelbach and her brother and sister-in-law, Floyd (and Janet) Wait.

Blessed Be Her Memory
